Cool feature... if it works!

This article is written for the 1999-2000 model year but I know it worked on my '03 Cobra. Does anyone know if this works on the '05+??

I do know one thing about this feature. For example, my '03 Cobra's speedo maxed out at 160. The digital display of speed exceeds the mechanical speedo needle, it will continue to register the correct speed beyond 160..... don't tell anyone how I know......

i saw alot of my 03-04 cobra friends use this on almost a daily bases, unless they were to lazy or just going around to town to turn it on, awesome feature and would be nice to see it really work, just hope it is not like the 4000RPM shift light and the car lights that function only on some cars

Here's the deal, for the 05-07 try this...(I have an 07 with IUP & message center)

Put the key in ignition
Use two fingers to hold down setup and reset button
Turn the key 2 clicks (the instruments will light up and you'll see info displayed in the display area)
Release the two buttons
Press reset button to cycle through the options (To exit, turn the key off)

What I see is:
Rom Level 2
CRC $<a number>

Boot Level 1
<a number>

Final Date
<a number>

Serial Number
<a number>

Display test
##########

I see a bunch of other stuff, too much to remember. I didn't have a pen and paper to record everything I saw. I don't have any documentation for what any of this means--but I would love to know. I don't have time to finish testing it, i'll let someone else continue and fill in the blanks for now.

I never could get my 07 to display the digital speedo, tach, or eng temp. It seems all I can get mine to display is rom versions, serial numbers, and DTC stuff. Could there be some other missing sequence? Is this stuff documented someplace?

Here is what i see with my car (I wrote the stuff down this time):
Rom Level 2
CRC $<8 digit hex number>

Boot Level 1
CRC $<8 digit hex number>

Final Date 6157

Serial number
<16 digit number>

Display Test
################
################

Obtain IC DTC

Continuous DTC
none

you know what, this sorta makes sense after thinking about it... KC stang had upgraded from the Basic Dash to the Message Center? Does anyone remember that? Well anyways if i can recollect, he said that all the information transfered over.... so for those who can't get it to work, they may have changed it a bit.
Going to try anyways.. what could it hurt
