My status is as follows, " As of Dec 6th your vehical is on a convoy carrier, expected delivery date Dec 16th."
So my questions are as follows:

1: Does this mean the car is on a truck to a rail yard near the plant?

2: Or has the car already taken its nice train ride south and is actually on a truck to the dealer?

The second question seems a little far fetched to me, since the reginal rail yard is in Winston-Salem, N.C. and I am near Virginia Beach, Virginia. The rail yard is like 7+ hours from here, so no way it takes 4 days to get here.

So any info. in the above would be nice.

I am in Va Beach. They will ship it via rail to Winston-Salem. Once there it will be held until they have enough vehicles going to your dealer (or dealers in your area). Although it does not take 4 days to get to our area it can sit there for 3-4 days before getting put on a truck. I wasn't given a specific day of delivery. It was a period of days Nov 12 - 17. Fortunately mine arrived on the 12th. Hang in there, your car is on its final leg of its journey.

Thanks Ken, kinda figured it was sitting at a yard of some sort. I stopped by the dealer in Va. Beach on Monday and talked to a couple of the drivers from the trans. company. There was two trucks there unloading cars, with several mustangs included, they told me they pickup the mustangs from a rail yard in Winston-Salem, N.C. So if no weekend deliveries occure, next week is my week.

I tell you it is like being a child on Christmas Eve, this wait. I guess we never truly grow up.........
