When I close my car's top, it seems to stop a good two inches away from the latching holes. I have to give it a good pull from the center grab place and work the power button again to get it to go down enough to clamp closed. I don't mind, but my fiancé finds it hard to do.

Can the top mechanism be adjusted so the pins come forward and down more, like right over the holes?

Just keep putting that top up and down, eventually it'll break in and get a lot easier to latch
