Ok I called and got my railcar info. They said ETTX850936 Est delivery of Week of June 4. So I used the UPPR tracer and it says

ETTX 850936 Load Yes *Departed KCS KANCITY, MO 05/12/2005 10:10:00

But my car shipped 5/25 and the destination is western ND so this must be really old information. How else can I track it. Salesman said the car is railed to Minneapolis then trucked to the dealer from there. Maybe somebody in Minneapolis could stake out the ramp for me! Just kidding

Ok I called the 800 # for the rail company. They didn't have any info other than the rail car was in possesion of CP Railway. I found CP's website (Canadian Pacific Rail) on line and there was a cust service automated # on the site. I called it and it said my car was unloaded at Cottage Grove, MN at 3:50 their time today. Cottage Grove is at Minneapolis and therefore my car should be at my dealer sometime next week. Anyway to track it now that it will be loaded on a truck?

Now that it is off the rail, the best thing to do is to keep hounding your salesman (everyday at least) for information on where the car is. It is difficult to track a truck carrier but the dealer can "red tag" the car from the depot for you. That means "please get this car to me ASAP, the customer is really annoying!"

Good luck!

My car was shipped, but who do I call to track it now? Do I keep calling Ford?

Your dealer should be able to tell you the mode of transport, i.e. rail or truck. If it's shipped by rail, get the rail car number from the dealer and track it on the rail carriers website. A little tougher to track by truck but constant communication with the salesman is recommended.

Hey, your car was born on my birthday!!
