I remember the 427 was known for being one of or the fast cars on the planet going 0-100 then 100 to zero. Has anyone seen anything like this for the 2005 Mustang or the 2005 Mustang GT?

 

not a 0 to 100 and a 100 to 0 test, but it will give ya a pretty good idea of how the 05 stacks up against some of the fastest out there.

I think it was Car & Driver that does those tests.... 0-100-0... I remember reading the article.... the guy that wrote the article blew the motor on Carrol Shelby's personal 427 Cobra.... It was kinda amusing.... but... yeah.... haven't seen any testing like that in a couple of years.

 

I had the video for the record fastest on my deskltop 2 days ago and deleted it. dammit. was like 10.2 0-100-0, powered by chevy.

I would venture a guess. 16-17 sec

Figure conservatively the new 05 traps in the 1/4 @ 100mph in let's say 13.6 then add a couple of seconds for the slam on the brakes.

 

That web page above shows 1/4 mile speeds, our 05 would rank well on that list.......

 

How accurate are those tests because they are saying that the new 05 would be just as fast as the Mustang Cobra R, Corvette GS, Z28 SS, and WS6... I would think that some off these would post better times.
