Clutch/Gear Q

New 2008 GT/CS 3000 miles.

I was starting to notice it was getting harder to change gears. The other day I am shifting from 2nd to 3rd and I hear a grind, sort of like I missed the gear or was only half way in. But that was not the case, pedal all the way down on the floor and just shifting into 3rd. If I move into 3rd slowly, I can feel that same grind. I can avoid it by shifting more quickly and push the stick up with more force. I never really noticed this until that other day when I heard and felt that grind.

If a clutch peddle is all the way down, should I EVER feel the gears spinning at all, even if I shift very slowly?

Thanks

It's probably normal. You live in NJ, it is getting colder there, and I would suspect the cause is colder temps. Try and keep track of when it does this, and observe if it is when cold, warm...been driving for a while, or just started driving.

Hey Dan, If it's a quick grind, I'm getting the same exact thing, but only when the trans is cold. So you're not alone.

Thanks Steve, I didnt know low temps had an effect on this.

Hey Mark, yes it is a quick grind mostly from 2nd to 3rd. I guess it must be the cooler temps that arrived this week.
