Anyone else get a clicking noise from rotorpros rotors? Not sure if there's anything I can do to mitigate the noise.

None on mine ... How old are the pads , is the clicking sound a wear indicator on the pads ?

 

I've had my rotorpro rotors in for about 50k miles, still on the same pads as well and they still work great with no odd noises. Mine are the drilled and slotted ones.

 

Pads only have 10k or so on them. They were put on right before the rotors. I have the dimpled and slotted ones as well. Hopefully I can find a solution because the noise is starting to wear on me. It's not load enough to hear with the windows up but painfully obvious when the windows are down. I suppose I can check a retainer spring but the noise is coming from both wheels.

It is the rotors as some of them make a whirring noise.

 

It's the dimples on the rotors. I had EBC slotted and dimpled rotors but I got rid of them because of the noise. I now have EBC slotted rotors and they make no more noise than stock rotors.

 

When I did my Baers I noticed a bunch of noise and found the diameter was just enough in some places to contact the pad retaining clips. After I drove them for a bit to find the high spots I sanded the outside of the rotors to solve the noise issue. It wasn't a clicking noise, more os a 'scrape'.

 

This is definitely a clicking noise. I'll stick it out until I replace the rears and get new fronts at the same time. This time slotted only. Thanks guys! It's great to still have a place to come nearly 6 years and over 100k miles later!
