Clicking noise from center console

I plugged in my tom tom gps to find a place I was meeting friends. When I went to leave there was a clicking noise coming from around my 12V plug. Is this shorting out or what?

It happens for about 2secs then stops. If I turn the car on completely it still does but starts and runs fine.

Any suggestions? Im bringing it to the dealer before I go to work in the afternoon.

To it to the dealer today and they said it was the doors for the ac that control where the airflow goes. Thhe service guy said he had the same problem wwith his Taurus. They want $212 to fix. They disconnected the current one and im cool with that. My dad gets the car wwhen my 5.0 comes in and he said he doesn't care.
