Here is my dilemma folks,

I want to get the new stang, should I wait for MY06 and get Titanium and 18s. I fell in love with this color at NYIAS, it is so sharp and makes that car look mean.

However, I love blue, I currently drive a True Blue stang and the 05 in Sonic Blue keeps calling my name. However, I dont have a garage, just a driveway and trying to keep a dark colored blue car, scratch, swirl and dirt free is a chore, so I thought that Titanium would be a much better color to have, with the added bonus that I also like it.

So what do you guys say, wait one more year (the wait is already killing me) and get titanium and 18s or go back to my beloved blue and get Sonic Blue with 17s and enjoy right away.

Titanium. Sonic Blue is too purple for my taste.

My source within Ford gave me a list of colors for 2006 and Titanium was not one of them (although Tungsten gray was). Because of this, I personally decided to go ahead and get Sonic Blue because I know for sure it's available now and not in 2006. With the possibility of having no Titanium after the wait, I'd rather get something I know I like and can have.

I wouldn't go with sonic blue and the 17's, if a year later you are going to be kicking yourself and wishing you had waited for the titanium and the 18's.

I'm sort of in the same dilema. I have ordered a redfire GT (no deposit down), but really want the 18's and am interested to see what new exterior and interior accent colors will be offered in '06. I'm probably going to pass on the ordered '05, and wait to get the car that I really want in '06. For me the wait will be worth it.

Could Tungsten Gray, be another name for Titanium? I would be upset If I waited a year and Titanium was not available.

Brad, yeah the Sonic Blue in some pics look kind of purple but in others its just the right amount of blue.

I am having a very hard time waiting for the 05's to come out, i don't know if i could survive another year. Have you also considered the Windveil Blue? Also, if the info is true about titanium silver, a lot of people are going to be bummed out.

Tungsten was the color of the concept coupe; Titanium was the silver on the production 2005 show car.

Tungsten:

So then I would say, looking at pics of both cars that Tungsten and Titanium are relatively similar.

Yeah I was considering Windveil Blue, it is a nice color, but too light for my tastes.

According to my source Tungsten will be available and not Titanium. They said Tungsten would be a charcoal gray.

Titanium seems to be a bit brighter than Tungsten, but then again, I haven't seen either in person.

I went for the Sonic Blue. My 97 GT is an Atlantic Blue which at night, looks purple but I liked it. I just wish the Sonic Blue was closer to the colour of my 97, or better yet, I wish the Azure Blue on the Mach 1 was an option.

Just an opinion here. I was at the Ford Racing Innovation Drive in Detroit on Belle Isle and the Woodard Dream Cruise, and got to see a number of 05's in different colors (screaming yellow, red, black, charcoal, winddevil blue, legend lime, sonic blue). The satin silver was off my radar screen, but I think it appeared to be one of the best colors when I saw it on Belle Isle. It was overcast that day so my opinon might change seeing the car on a bright bright sunny day. Incidentally, the silver car had the bullitt wheels which I think looked teriffic with the satin silver. Up until that time, I was firmly convinced I wanted the optional GT wheel.

In a related note, I thought the winddevil blue was the color for me. However, when I first saw it on a 2005 Taurus, I didn't like it at all. After seeing it on the 05 Stang in Detroit, I believe it is my least favorite color on the new Stang.

Here is dilemma of my own,
I love the side stripes on the V6, but i like the GT Premium better overall (glad that I can afford one now)
Is there any way I can get the side stripes on my GT, I know Ford is not offering the option.
Suggestions plzzzz

Ooh, those are nice. I bet the electric green would look good on a black stang.

I'm waiting for the Lime Gold color to be offered on the 06.

You haven't seen either?

I've seen both, the two are worlds apart, although my memory of last years auto show is fuzzy... Titanium looks like a polished steel, really, really dark and metallic, the fact that its stripes are satin silver says how dark it is.

The concept was pretty shiny, a bit cornball too, but most concepts if you are, but my memory of it is a little fuzzy.

Kapitan GT,

I kind of agree with VillainousBlak. Having seen the concept coupe in tungsten, I can say that it is a VERY mettalic, pure silver. It is IMHO an absolutely stunning color. TITANIUM on the other hand is a darker,(also very mettalic) shade of silver/charcoal grey. So if Ford is offering tungsten in '06, (as in the color of the concept coupe) then I think that would definitely be the route I go!!
