I received this email from a dealer that I had emailed about accepting the Xplan. Does anyone know where I can get a White 05 V-6 convertible w\ dk charcoal interior with x plan?

Currently, because of the continued demand for all Mustangs (coupe/convertible - V-6 & GT), Crown Ford is unable ot honor any "X" Plan purchases. All V-6 vehicles are for sale at the MSRP price - all GT models are priced at MSRP + $2,000.

The 2005 Mustang is about to "balance out." This is a Ford term meaning that production on this years model will stop, while the plants gear up to begin constructing the 2006 models. Accordingly, the only new vehicles available are those currently either on dealers lots or in an ordered capacity. Pricing on any "A," "Z,", or "X" plan will, most likely, depend on demand vs. supply.

Sorry we couldn't be of better service.

Well, I do like the fact that they were up front about it, if that's worth anything. We've seen all kinds of foolishness by dealers on this car.

Sorry to hear crown has become greedy, they were taking it a few months back, but that was a long time ago. I don't blame them though, it is simple supply and demand. They do have a loaded white GT convertible out front...looks amazing

How is Two Rivers? I used to live near there and they always had a good selection.

Alexander Ford in Murfreesboro has a mineral grey v6 convertible on the lot, they took plans in October. Two Rivers was adding $2k in October, who knows what that has reached now. Town & Country in Madison has a ton of 05's you might check them out...

Some dealers are asking a lot more than $2,000.

Local dealers here in Vacaville and Fairfield are charging from 2k to 6k over msrp. A chick I work with just bought a v6 with no options except auto transmission for a little over 30K. I can't beleive it, but I guess if people will buy them for that much....

Actually, I guess they could have totally wasted your time and told you they would do the deal to get you to come down and then when you did come back with the old.... "my sales manager just said we aren't going to be able......

I'd have to give them some credit for being up front about it.

We will do the A/X plans on the 4 V-6 coupes we have. V-6 vert at MSRP [the only one we will have for the rest of the model year]. Do not have a GT in stock nor will we for the rest of the model year as we have almost as many sold Mustang orders in the system as we do allocation for the rest of the year.
Today I am delivering a GT vert that I ordered last year at $1200 over invoice.

The General Manager had gone on record 6 months ago that no employees could get GT's at our D-plan price. I have 20 years seniority on him and just in passing asked the dealer if I could get a GT vert on D-plan and he said of course [I knew he would]. My car is on a rail car as I am typing this. The GM is honked off at me. Oh Well! Get over it.

Wow now I don't if they do an X plan here but they do have what your looking for I seen one last night ! when I drove through they just keep coming as our local car rental Budget just took like 12-16 v6 convertibles. The Dealer is called Suburban Motors on Douglas Street here in Victoria BC Canada if you do a Ford dealer search it may be in the invetory ? its a long ways away but
