had engine light go off the other day.I thought it was because I did a half assed key turn at start and engine didn't fire.so i disconnected pos battery terminal and drove to work.light came back on next day.went to autozone and they read code as "random multiple missfires espescially #5 "what does that mean?car runs as great as ever.TIA

Check the spark Plugs (especially #5) or you need to replace the coil pack for that cylinder.
