I'm often searching for parts for my 07 GT in USA. Can anybody tell me what is the cheapest shipping company (transport via airplane) from USA to germany? I often use UPS but they are very expensive...also Fed Ex...I think there must be other cheaper shipping companys in USA...can anybody help me?

Hey - I spent 2 years in Ulm. I was working for the Army at the Kaserne across the river in Neu Ulm in 1986-87. Walked up to the top of the Muenster and enjoyed the river parade a couple of times.
Can't really help with shipping question besides UPS and Fed-Ex. But there is also Airborne and DHL.

Hi Florian,
You and I are pretty much in the same boat here...
What I can suggest is to ask the vendors to ship your parts via USPS (US Postal Service) for small parts and arrange for self airport pick-up when it comes to larger items (if possible).
The main problem is not the actual shipping cost, rather the high import taxes applied to US products in Europe.
Another possibility would be to contact an American citizen working at your closest AFO base and ask him to order the part for you, then you can pay him directly and pick up the part.
Finally, there is a UK-based company called Moving Parts ( http://www.moving-parts.com/ ). You get your parts delivered to their depot in the US and they ship a container once a week (thanks to James "jgsmuzzy" for this info!). From the UK, it's just an internal EU shipping cost that remains to be paid. I'm sure if you search more, you'll find such companies in Germany too.
P.S.: for a list of US-based vendors who do ship to Europe, have a look at the thread I started here: http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=28078

Hook Up
I sent my Borla Stingers from NH to "scramblr" (a forum member) in Germany by sending USPS to Maryland and then the package went by military transport I think. Only cost me about $20. Hook up with someone in the military over there and maybe they'll help get things shipped for you.
