Cheap or not cheap?

What are you going to do with the other 9?

Carpet on floor board seems to not be attatched and doesn't go up very far under the pedals. Floor board feels flimsy and makes a pop when I push my foot getting out of the car. Plastic of doors and dash top could look a bit nicer, IUP was a must for me because of this. The automatic shift lever looks very flimsy, although feels tough enough, just looks like cheap toy grade plastic. OEM hood has 1/4 inch gap on both sides. Leather seats, cover comes off just like everyone else, I gave up bothering to fix, you cant really tell anyway.
I wouldn't have bought the car if the interior bothered me that much. The hood may have that much gap on purpose, I don't know. I have had rattles here and there, but they all turned out to be either something in my glove compartment or cup holders.
Overall I'm satisfied, but think they could do a bit better on the interior for the cost of the car. Most cars have a kind of vulcanized plastics in the interior that give a better feel to the touch and more upscale look.
It's still the coolest looking car on the road though and a pretty good value for what you get.

Let me put it this way.
My idea of a "cheap" interior are the interiors in Camaros/Firebirds in the late 90s all the way to their demise in 2002. Looks cheap, feels even cheaper, IS cheap!
Compared to those interiors, they could stuff a Mustang's interior into a Bentley or a Caddy and I'd never know the difference.

I had a small rattle - found it and fixed it with some foam rubber.
However, I'm less than thrilled with the quality of the paint - it scratches, chips VERY easily. Looks like 1 quick coat of paint, 1 quick coat of clear and gone! I think Ford hired MAACO or Earl Schieb to do the paint.
