That being said, I installed the Hurst about a month ago, because I am sick of waiting for the MGW. I seem to have an issue with the Hurst though, if I put it into first, second, fifth or reverse and shift it into neutral, the shifter does not bounce back to the middle. For example, if I shift from first to neutral, the shifter will stay towards the left instead of springing back to the middle. Is there a fix for this? Did I over tighten someting?? Any help or insight on this would be great.

I think that is probably normal, but you could try to loosen the nut holding the shifter itself to the linkage, but make sure you put some loctite on it as per the instructions. The Steeda one has springs in it to help force it to the center, thus adding the cost.

The Hurst shifter NOT springing to the center in neutral is "normal" ?!?

I think the Hurst sounds like a pain in the A@@ based upon what you folks are saying. And then there is that ugly white "cueball" shifter ****...

I'll pass, thanks... My Steeda is in the garage, waiting to be added! This weekend... This weekend...

The transmission has springs that center the shifter in neutral. The Steeda one just has springs that make it center itself more positively. The factory shifter doesn't have any springs either.
