CDC Shaker question

1) Is it worth the money?
2) Can you install it cleanly with the GT Appearance package hood scoop or do you have to get the regular hood?
3) Is it hard to install and finally
4) How much HP does it give out if any, or is it just for looks?

I have one and I love it. This question has to be decided by you. How much do you like the look of it??

2) Can you install it cleanly with the GT Appearance package hood scoop.or do you have to get the regular hood?
You have to get the regualar hood.

3) Is it hard to install and finally
No. Almost everyone on this site had done it themselves. Except for me cause I didn't have the B--- to cut into my hood.

4) How much HP does it give out if any, or is it just for looks?
Nothing it's just for looks. Like I said I don't care though because I got it for looks.

1)In my opinion, Hell yes, every penny of it.
2)Not for sure how the scoop is attached, but why would you get the appearance package and then remove the existing hood scoop ? Just go with the regular hood.
3)Not really, I did mine myself. Once you cut the template (and your paint) with an x-acto knife you have gone past the point of no return so relax and let the saw do the work. Measure 2-3 times, measure, measure, measure.
4)Doesn't really improve performance just looks **** fine.

1. Attachment 21455 YES!

2. Attachment 21454 If it's just a scoop on the regular hood, then it should work. My insulation had holes for the 2007 hood scoop (Ford was thinking ahead), and that entire area was cut out.

3. Attachment 21453 Piece of cake!

4. It's not just for looks if you have the stock cold air intake set-up. If it sucks air at idle with some quick revs (as shown in the video), then it's really sucking air at WOT. 3rd gear pulls much harder now than it used to. If you have an aftermarket cold air intake, it's no longer a closed-system and you won't get any sucking or forced air.

I've read on CDC's site that the Shaker trim ring will NOT cover the holes left by the add-on Ford scoop,so do your research carefully before buying.
And love mine too! Adds that perfect Old School look to these cars.
Only took me 3 months to finally cut my hood after I bought the kit.LOL

Everything Leo, Daryl, and Tom said.

If you have what it takes (the *****), then go for it. If not, don't do it. It'll just make us Shaker guys stand out just that much more.

cdc claims around 3% hp gain, you can't measure ram air power on a dyno, its all about forced air the faster you go the more air is forced in therefore more power
