Cam Covers

Does anyone make a cam cover that would match the plenum cover from the GT Appearance Pkg?

Sorry. No one makes that color.
Best thing to do is have yours powdercoated to match it or you might try http://www.karkraft.com/. They are powdercoating cam covers and selling them. They sell a lot of Ford parts, including the OEM plenum cover, so they might be able to do a special order for you.

Steeda has a few colors available. Black, Red Blue and Yellow i think. I installed the Black ones over the weekend. Otherwise you will have to do as Stangnut said and send yours out to be coated or painted.

Thanks...This would be cool if it was finned and said "Powered by Ford" like the Plenum cover does.

I don't want to spend that much just for a different color however.

Cheapest way is going to be to have a local shop powdercoat your stock covers because KarKraft is the cheapest place you're going to be able to buy a new set that's already powdercoated. (BTW, KarKraft had them on eBay for about $20 cheaper)

i thinking about ordering a set of stock covers from KC or getting some from a junk yard and sending them to the powder coater for the same thing, i know there is a TMS member that does custom airbrushing to make them look like the intake cover

I just spray painted mine with wheel paint, which didn't match the plenum cover, so I painted the plenum cover to match the cam covers. No, it isn't as durable as powdercoating, but once you get them on, there's not much wear and tear, and they've held up very well. I then had some custom aluminum decals made. It's nothing compared to some of the engines on this site, but I like the look and it cost me very little. I would have loved some finned cam covers in crinkle black to match a black crinkle plenum cover, but you do with what you have.

Now that gives me some ideas.... I need to do something real soon (my ugly stock cam covers are now off)! I figure since my car is Sonic Blue, I am thinking that black with blue flames saying Ford racing would look sweet.
