CD player skipping and cutting off dialogue - 2006 GT
I have read the below problem and we also have it in our 2006 Mustang GT, Shaker 500 system. Does anyone have a solution, or is the "rough" suspension to blame?
---------------------
My wife listens to books on tape while going to and from work. Shortly after we purchased our 2006 GT the CD's started skipping. Cuts off end of sentenses, skips dialogue, etc. I have had it back to dealer twice. First time replaced CD player with a rebuilt unit, next with a "new" unit. Still have the problem. CD's play fine in our other vehicles and even brand new, right out of the box CD's skip. Do not want to go back to Ford w/o some idea what might be the problem. Ford has been most helpful, just have not fixed the problem.
Any suggestions???

Beyond the obvious problem of replacing bad with bad...
Have you tried a cleaning CD or perhaps a can 'o air with a swizzle stick nozzle into the slot?
It's possible that even in storage, the lens is dirty... lens sits facing up, dust comes down, insta skippiness.
/Not sayin' it's still not a Skipper 500, though, just advisin' other possibles.
