cat-less

i picked up some exhaust cut-offs and before i get them put on (im no good with a welder) i was thinking about just going catless with an offroad xpipe and putting the cutoffs on that.

one question, with the cats off will i have to recalibrate anything? any oxygen sensors that have to be meddled with? and will i need to finally get a tuner forthe install. im so hesitant of a tuner because of all the stories of going into limp-mode.

if you remove the cats with out a tune the check engine light will come on. Get with Doug @ bamachips and he can set you up with an xcal2 and some tunes to turn the rear o2 sensors off.

If you have the stock manifolds and want to just add a off road x pipe the sound should be good, with the cut offs installed and open it will be much louder. remember tho depending on your state and emmisions test could fail w/o the cats.

If you don't want to use a tuner you can just get these.

yea i saw them on brenspeed's site and i think im goin with those instead of a tune. just dont have the cash for a tuner right now. im limiting myself to $1000 from my tax return on mods. the other 2grand will go to bills from other mods that i have yet to pay for ahahahah

thanks for the info
