Yes you read that right, it came in today, so I went down and test drove it and everything is cherry except the passenger door wont open from the inside, so they are fixing that and I am playing the waiting game again. I contemplated taking it like that so I would have an excuse to not let anyone get into my car an dirty it up, I hate passengers sometimes they dont care about other peoples cars. Anyway so I worked out the paperwork and financing and all and will sign the final delivery when they get the door fixed, hopefully it will be before I go to work but I doubt it. I might have to wait until tomorrow. I will post pics though.

 

 

You got yours at RSM, right? When did you order, etc...

Isnt yours the last one before Ricks? I think it is... I say thats really good news for Rick as well.

actually RSM was kind of an after thought, because I was originally told that the one I ordered (from a different dealer) had a whole sh!t load of holds and it definately was taking forever since I ordered it back in Sept. and I had spoken to someone at RSM that said they could get it quicker and almost did, so I said sure and the race was on; since they just held the deposit as a right of first refusal on the order (which I am sure they would've honored since they kept updating me). But today it looks as though they lost the race but it was pretty close since I talked to RSM about a month after I ordered my first one and they say they expect it next week, that is why I shot you that message a week or two ago about if yours hadnt come in yet and I already had one you could have first dibs on my order since Rick didnt want it. But it looks as though you beat us all. Congrats. So unfortunately for Rick he probably still has to play the waiting game unless he wants to give up on holding out for the spoiler delete and bullit wheels that made our orders differ than he can take first crack at mine when it comes in next week. I think they saw my order or a similar one and confused it with his and gave him bad info; did you know that there are 3 Richards that ordered a Black GT Manual w/ Dark Charcoal leather interior and IUP from that dealership. At least as far as I know. Well if I get a chance I will be at the Saleen show they are doing, I might see you there. Take care.

Ordered my 2005 Fiery Red Premium GT on Nov. 19, assembly line Dec. 13. I hope 13 isn't an unlucky number this time. When will I get it? Who knows. Probably after new years or when pigs drive Mustang GTs. Shaker 1000, red leather, 17" rims, IUP alarm, 5 spd. Ford needs to power up another factory. The wait is too much. Have fun and good luck to those who have theirs. Everyone I know wants to see it.

I would love to be there on Friday but like I was just telling Surfn Rick I have to work and if I read his IM right he cant make it either, it would be nice to meet you both, but unfortunately I cant make it. Not sure how exclusive it is though they are inviting everyone that visits their website, its on the first page, so Rick you have to insist that the invitation isnt enough to cover for their mess up. But are you 2 going to be their on the 19th for their next event, I am going to try to make it to that and I will definately be going to the LA show.

 

Ahhh, bummer, so neither one of you guys can make it? Dern it all...

Have you seen the Saleen in person yet? It looks better than it does in pictures (you dont really get a sense for the actual dimensions until you see it for yourself, they really managed to get a nice longer look out of it; which is what they where shooting for, something similar in styling to their S7) however it still isnt my favorite, I prefer the retro look and while the saleen looks good it would (in my opinion) look better if Ford didnt make the Mustang so darn good looking to begin with. But have fun, if I can manage to, I will be there, but it doesnt look like its going to happen.

 

I agree 100%. It's pretty hard to try and perfect after 'perfection'. :worship:

 

Oh, i will be there. I just can't stay for the whole thing. Holiday Christmas party at the Dana Point Yacht Club this friday night at 7.

I plan on being there with my Dad at 5pm.
