Carpet, glass, interior plastic, paint

Problems:
Floor mat retainer clip ripped from the carpet, leaving a gaping, shredded hole.
The interior plastic quality is terrible -- console is ruined at 10,000 miles, college class ring thrashed console next to seat belt.
Windshield has at least a dozen chips -- from the Orange County freeways???
Weak paint quality -- orange peel, plus had rock chips on the way home from the dealer.
Car is noisy as the devil's den inside on the highway, can't even use a cellphone!!!
Gas tank fill problems.
Electric trunk release only partially releases sometimes.
Did I mention that my plastic key is thrashed and looks like junk?
Also broke the loop off of the transmitter.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this car, but Ford really went on the cheap in areas that are, to me, very important -- interior noise, glass quality, interior plastic quality, etc.

My only gripe is the shifting of the trans ... lots of syncro drag if you ask me. Well, throttle hang too is annoying ... but I guess a chip tune will cure that.
My interior is holding up, but it might be a bit on the chincy side. Naugahide or something laid over all these panels would really have been a better touch. I remember reading here (or on the Boss site) someone was pulling out the whole interior of their 05 and putting in their own sound deadening. I hear the 06 is better. My 05 is noisey, but being half deaf at 60 it does not seem to bug me much.
