This car still turns heads...
I've seen about 5 '05 GTs in my area....ever. Probably twice as many V6s, but still....that's nothing compared to the last-gen 'Stangs. I get some looks here and there, but all in all, no one notices or cares enough. Whatever...I ain't driving it to impress others.

Was going to the first car show of the season last night. I am at a light waiting to go,a 525BMW comes up beside me and we are each two cars back on the light. He looks I look(525's are sweet) we are both about the same age. Next thing I see is he is moving forward, the light is still red. Well if he looked forward instead of my GT maybe he would not have hit the F350 in front of him. Well the 350 is alot higher than the BMW and the huge hitch on the truck was a nice touch. Well the BMW now has about a 3ft rip in the hood. Not a scratch but like someone just ripped it open with a can opener. Hate to see that happen to anyone, but at the time is was pretty funny. And yes necks still snap when I run around in my Pony. Love the fact that no matter what the speed of cars in front of me on the highway they pull over to take a look.

I remember not even 1/4 mile down the road after I first bought the car from the dealer I had received 2 thumbs up. Not as many in a short distance anymore, but still do get the good old thumbs up. Oh and there's this dude in town with a redfire GT driving around with his head and fogs on, see him all the time, we're like road friends. I should prob tell him about TMS. Impressing people is automatic. You can't force them to like your car. if they like it well good for them, if they dont pos que te valga (dont care about it)

In the 2 weeks I have had my GT, I've gotten into at least a dozen conversations with strangers at various places.
The first conversation occured at my parents' house where I had my Flowmasters delivered, I had my car parked out front and the UPS guy was carrying the box to the door where I was standing. First thing he says is "putting em on the new stang huh?" "yessir!" As I gleefully sign off on the package. As we both walk back towards the car (me to put the box in my trunk, him to get back in his truck), he engages in conversation about the car, saying hes debating the GT over the Charger and so on. Loves the car and heads off.
Couple days later, this BEAUTIFUL woman that always walks her dogs in my parents' neighborhood, was walking by when I was getting something out of my car while visiting. Came over to chat and said thats the first black GT she saw, and it was gorgeous and so on. My god if she wasnt married...
Today I pulled up at a red light, an older guy was walking the lanes selling the Miami Herald newspaper. Passes by my passenger side.. and doesnt go to the other lanes. Next thing I know hes behind my car, and now on my driver side.. comes up to my window and says "Nice Mustang", and the conversation begins, lol.
Aside from conversations, I get a driving necksnaps and kids in Civics and SRT4s (jeezus if those arent the new Civic, I dont know what is, every teenager has one) that pull up next to me, tailgate me, and ricer-fly-by me. I actually had one guy in a Civic EX that hugged my car for several blocks as I ignored him. Finally at a red light he honks his horn, I look over, and he says "what, you afraid to race that thing?", while his friend tugs on his shirt as if to say "wtf are you doing?". My response "You're driving a Civic"... (no offense to Civics, I actually like Civics as everyday cars). He starts revving the heck out of his engine. I step on the Flowmasters and his friend slaps his hand over his face yelling "ooh my god".
Yeah, that kinda stuff happens in Miami a lot

A Stang costs $26k, and a Goat costs $33k... There's a lot you can do with that extra $7k or so.

That's funny, now that I got my Bassani's, no other ricer will even look in my direction...prolly cuz they're scared. Anyway, it's a great feeling when youget a thumbs up from another stang. Got one yesterday from a redfire '05 vert coming in the opp direction.
Plus got a rev behind me from a '01-04. Prolly cuz he wanted to hear my exhaust. God I love thi car!

I know what you mean. This car really does turn heads. My V6, that most would consider the "lower" model, turns heads like crazy in my town. One guy was driving toward me a few days ago and his eyes were glued to my car until he passed me.
I get it all the time as well.
i was driving on the parkway and was really trying to cruise due to gas prices and two dudes in xa mini van coming flying by to give me thumbs up and yell nice car.
It's a great compliment.

What is most funny is there has been so much picture taking, that now i automatically slow down to let them take the pic.

The best look I got was the third night I had the car. I had just bought it in SoCal and was driving back to Utah. I had a turd in a purple Neon with wheel well lights refuse to let me pass at a normal speed. So I goosed the GT and the purple turd stepped on it too. I went from 85 to 103 and blew his doors off. There was a car coming up really fast in the fast lane so I stayed on it to get over.
It was a cop. He lit me up and I got a ticket.
He said, "I could have pulled either of you over but I haven't seen the new Mustang yet.' We both got a chuckle, my wife told him I deserved the ticket. He admired the car for a few minutes and apologized that he couldn't let me go with a warning because I was over 100. So he wrote me a ticket for doing 85 in a 75 zone.
The ticket for 103 would have been over $700 and required a mandatory court appearance. 10 over was $85 (I think) and I mailed it in.

I was in traffic going to work the other day. One guy coming the other way where there was no traffic just stopped in middle of the lane. Looked over and said "nice car" about 3 times. Then he drove off. The whole time, traffic is buildingup behind him.
Car turned two heads, maybe three.
Parked across the Street from the Ball Park where my Granddaughter
was playing Sunday Afternoon.
First Guy in a Red Jeep slowed right down for a Look.
Second Guy in a Red Truck just took a Look.
Third Girl in a Red Sunfire didn't Look ( especially ahead ).
Three Car pile up right beside the Mustang, No one hurt but front of the Sunfire was Toast.
Good thing you Can’t be charged for Looking Good.
