My dealer has been pretty good so far but my GT has been at the rail yard in Mira Loma, CA since Saturday and he can't get it delivered! I asked if i could go there and get it (just 50 miles) but he says sorry, can't do that. He offered to go get it himself, which was a nice gesture, but i don't want anyone else driving it. Why can't i go gitit myself? Looks like i'll have to wait another 2 or 3 days !! :bang:

 

Most times the dealer doesnt own the car until it is delivered. Its an insurance thing. The car is still owned by Ford until you pick it up at the dealer. I know you probably dont want anyone else driving it but hellif you want it real bad go with him and let him drive it back. He isnt going to beat the thing or if he does you have him by the short hairs.

 

Thanks, guess that makes sense...it's just so frustrating knowing it's so close now I'll give it till Friday; that's if i can handle it that long :bang:

 

Oh I hear ya. If mine was at the rail yard right now Id be hauling my dealer out of bed in the middle of the night to take him there!LOL But if he did offer to go get it take him up on it or wait. Check the weather. If its just gonna rain between now and Friday then might as well wait anyway

 

MIRACLES HAPPEN!! My dealer just called...the GT is on a truck and on it's way from the yard...wooooohooooo! I'll pick it up tomorrow!!!!

Mine's supposed to be here Thursday. One of my husband's buddies called where the keep the cars until they are taken to the dealer and it's not there yet.

Anyway, Congrats!! Post some pics when you can.

Dude, I thought for sure you would get yours before me. Sorry about the hang up, but like they say the wait is worth it.

 

Digi-cam is ready and we gave the guy who checks in the cars a disposable camera just in case we aren't there for the truck. Found out this morning that my GT is on a railcar on it's way to the Ford Plant in St. Louis (I believe they make the trucks & SUVs at that plant), rail goes directly there. My dealer is only a 10 minute drive from that plant. They have put a "HOT" status on it for us. They said rail cars come in all day long, so there's a small chance that it could come in today.

Wow. You are complaining that the car is almost there and you only placed your order 7 weeks ago? I'm sure the people that ordered in December and January would KILL have their car as close to being delivered as yours is. Go drink a beer and relax. You wait is almost over.
