Is that why the parrinoid people wear hats made out of aluminim foil? So that the government can't read their toughts?

Just kidding, will aluminum really block the signal?
Aluminum is a conductor (not the best, admittingly) and will block radio signals. It's sufficient with an aluminum wire mesh to block radiowaves, which frequencies depend on "spacing" of mesh. Actually, it's one of the most common alloys to use for just that - radiowave blocking coating.

Come on you guys. We don't need a button for the trunk on the passenger side when we have the rear fold down seats. Just keep one or both folded down at all times and you don't have to leave the car! Just chuck anything you want back there! Shoes, groceries, your irritating girlfriend. Slam the seat up and there you go! Viola!
