Warning!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had my car built by this company. It's still up on their web-site titled: "07 Sleeper". Go there and look. A couple of things you need to know about them.

1. My car is curently in a better shop for multiple problems. Basically, I will need to have almost everything they did fixed. Their "Custom Tune" is a joke. They don't even have a dyno. They did a "Street Tune". The car ran like crap and I had to take it to a REAL tuner. I could go on and on about their work...but basically they are ALL SHOW and NO GO! It was an expensive mistake.

2. They owe the State of Wisconsin over $180,000 in back taxes. I don't believe they are financially able to cover the poor work they did on my car. Even if they could, I wouldn't go back there to have any rework done.

3. Ask them for references of at least 3 happy customers. I would LOVE to see them round up 3 people who would say anything good about them.

4. The owner of that Bad *** car is suing them. Don't know this FIRST hand, heard it through someone who knows the guy.

Nice looking web-site, but they are not who they seem to be. By the way...I paid a lot of money to them...so I have every right to say this...besides it's all true.

Just for clarification -- it doesn't fit root/twin screw blowers. Centrifugal S/C's are fine (as evidenced in the pics).

Bummer man -- I am sorry to hear that. Thanks for letting us know. With the popularity of the Mustang shops have sprung up all over the place. It is hard to know who is good and who isn't.

I don't want anyone to make the same mistake that I did. It's easy to get attention by building a sharp looking car. Everyone drools all over it and wants the same thing. But that leaves people open and vulnerable for the big con. You believe that you are dealing with a legitimate company. You put your car and a ton of money into their hands and you trust them. You trust them because they are good at making you feel confident that they have your best interest in mind. Then once they have your money…you are no longer important to them. This is what happened to me. I don’t want it to happen to you.

Thanks for the heads up. I can't afford to have that much money put into my car anyway, but I'm sure others who can appreciate your input.

I'm still learning about S/C's. I know there is a difference, but I haven't taken the time to learn the pros and cons to each kind or what they look like. Thanks for clearing up what kind would work under that hood though as I have that in the back of my mind for a mod in the future.

No problem. Just to get your started::
Vortech = centrifugal = mounted in front of engine (builds boost as RPMs climb).
Whipple/Roush/Saleen = twin-screw = mounted on top of engine (same boost throughout RPM range)

However, there are similar hoods that should fit the twin screws if you look around (VIS makes a carbon fiber one for example)

Thanks for the quick S/C Cliff's Notes tutorial. Do you have a link for the VIS hood?

Google is your friend.
But here is a link to get you started.

I have never ordered from them and do not endorse any of the products depicted. It is just a place to see some options and get you started.

I've never ordered anything from them either, but it seems like they have a ton of stuff. I've worn Google out searching for stuff for my car. This mod stuff is addictive. I wasn't sure it if VIS stood for something or was the name of a company that I hadn't heard of.

I think Trufiber has a hood similar to it as well, but it looks like a combo between the "boy racer" and the cowl hoods. I'm not sure how that would look in person.

Just to continue this story. I just picked up my car from C&M Performance last night. The torque converter and the gears needed to be swapped out. The torque converter wouldn't stop leaking and the pinion bearing was shot. There were actual pieces of the bearing missing.

The torque converter and the gears were just two of the upgrades that I paid "Big Money for at Big 3 Performance. If you add the new tune that C&M Performance did last year, we are well into replacing many of the things that Big 3 Performance did on my car in only one year. I'm sure this story isn't over yet. The supercharger and cams haven't failed yet. The question is when?

Everyone that I meet in the world of cars will know how much Big 3 Performance sucks!

For all you guys in the Wisconsin area...if want a REAL shop to take your car to...Google C & M Performance. Marv (the owner) is the real deal.
