I saw this article yesterday. Too bad we cant buy one. It is only available to rent through Hertz. And I am sure when they trade them out when they reach their mileage they will be auctioned off at the highest price. I am guessing one of the reasons it is not being made available to the public for sale is it would take away from the absolute raping dealers are getting for the GT500. Which then leads one to beleive that Ford corporate has no problem with the said raping of people. But thats just my opinion.

Maybe i can't read, but aren't they actually just mustang GT's with FRPP powerpacks and some body work with the label "GT 350" ?

If that's true, I'm not blown away by this. lol

Ding ding ding winnah!

I'm still diggin the Ford Anti-selling stratagy that makes uber-hot buidable concepts dissapear into thin air(and the public REMEMBERS the concepts) and world market cars that never make it to the real carmarket here. Make something that will sell TONS, and uh, dont sell it. yay

The D35 at 265 hp is the real news at the show. Too bad they're waiting another YEAR to use it in the 500, oh wait, this is part of the strategy what was i thinking....

I'm not real excited about this story either. All I have to do is throw on some Gold stripes and a CAI and I'm there too. Hardly a "Shelby" as they would want you to believe.

The big point, I think, is that it's a Hertz car. You can rent-a-racer again. Not only is it a classic throw-back, but it's more affordable performance. I think it's great.
