Well my black 06 GT arrives soon, it's being built on Halloween. Has the stock 17's.
My question is, what would you do in my position?
Deep dish black bullits w/ KDW 2's ( around 1500 total for tires and wheels )
OR
CAI+SCT2, TB, Eibach pro-kit + cambers, maybe dampers?
The bullits are hot. but wheels and good tires are expensive. I just can't decide.

I would say do the CAI, SCT etc first. That is exactly what I did. I am doing the same wheels but waiting until next spring. They are expensive but look great. Personally though performance is more important to me than looks. I guess just do whichever is more important to you first. Looks vs performance.

You are probably right, I likely won't sell the stock wheels and tires, so I might as well get some of my moneys worth out of them.
Light em up a few times and have some fun eh?
By the way, how do you like your Bassani setup? I'm interested in it, but, I'm worried about droning at highway speeds.

Love the Bassani setup. You get SOME drone but not a lot. The only times I notice it is when it is cold outside and I am at very low RPMs in 5th gear. I.E. 55mph in 5th. Downshift and the drone is gone. Also, as I break in the system (5,000) miles on it now, I notice less and less drone. You can hear how great my exhaust sounds here:

There is a video in that thread. It sounds good and not too loud at idle and great at WOT.

I'd stay away from the deepdish bulletts until they get them right. They've had many problems with them... Do a search on it and read for yourself, then decide.

Didn't realize that, did a search but couldn't find a thread relating to that. Just lots of "omg my deep dish wheels are awsome" posts, which they are.
What exact problems do they have? I'll probably do the go and save the show for later anyhow.

I'd go with the CAI and tune first. The bullits look great, and like you said...you're not going to sell them, might as well get some use out of them!
Be sure and post pics when you get your car!

I thought about the Carrol Shelby wheels, but they just seem too busy and are extremely expensive. I like the bullit look, and I really like the gloss black look.
I'm curious as to what problems the deep dish ones have from www.mustangtuning.com have though.

Mustangtuning didn't allow for enough backspace and the rim would rub against the brake caliper. I believe that they are sending the wheels out with spacers now though to prevent any rubbing.

Personally, I would do it in this order:
1. CAI + tune (TB's will be out soon, but might have some issues);
2. rims and tires (not sure about DDs though);
3. springs and dampers;
4. anything else should come after points 2 and 3.
IMO, there's no point in having tons of hp and torque, when you can't "glue" the car to the road.
Good luck with your plans!

My VB GT should be here in two weeks...........
Upon delivery I am ordering:
Window Tint
18x9 Chrome Bullitts
255/45-18 BFG KDW2's
Eibach Springs (pro-kit)
BMR adj. trac bar
And some sort of camber kit
Then once my mod funds build back up:
SCT X-2
JLT CAI
Flowmaster mufflers
Throttle body spacer
I have driven slow **** Jeeps for the last 8 years. 300hp will be plenty for me for a good while. Plus, the wheel well gap and off-road sized factory tires have to go.

Black built on Halloween? Too bad they didnt have orange bullits
Depends. Do you want performance or looks? I personally think 300 HP is plenty for me, but to each his own. The black on black would look AWESOME!

Well I completely agree that it would look awsome. A member here has this car
http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?ac...e=post&id=35777
It's azoufan's car.
I think I need to hit option 3, drop more money! Making a decision is difficult, seems like I'm not the only one that has these problems.

Well, I would go right to a wheel place from dealership and see how much trade in you could get for rims and tires while they are brand spanking new. That way you could absorb a good chunk of rim and tire expense.You wont get that much for the bullits alone after they have nicks and scratches.JMO

Well I decided. CAI/tune, pulleys , airbrushed emblem from hireman, tint, eibach pro-system. Hopefully I won't need camber plates
I can get all that for the same price as new wheels and tires. Actually less. More bang for the buck really, I think I will be happier. After I burn my tires into melted stubs, I'll look at getting new wheels/tires. Thanks guys!
