Hmmm, over a month and no VIN, I ordered two weeks prior to you and my car is sitting 50 feet from me right now. What exactly did you order? You may want to start thinking about going to another dealer, hope you can get your deposit back if you put one down.

It's been a day under a month for me and I haven't been issued a VIN.....unless the automated number doesn't indicate when it is created? I called this morning and it still says clean & unscheduled

It took me 1 month and 3 weeks to get a VIN. If I wouldn't have lost my grand, I would've pulled my deposit. But as far as the question on your order goes, Ford always seems to have computer problems. I would just call back later today and see what they say.

Sorry I type too slow, so disregard my previous post. If that's the case, ride your dealer. Tell him your concerned and to put your mind at ease. If the dealer is really conerned about his sale then he will really check for you. I'd tell him to call you back by tommorrow with what he found.

priority 10 doesnt mean ur first in line. u can be a priority 30 at another dealer n get ur car before a priority 10. depends on the region and how big or small thedealershiop is and the volume of business they do.

Try calling the Customer Service number... then ask the person that answers to track your order... they closed at 5 though... the number is 1-800-392-3673... good luck!

What information do you need to have to call the customer service line? My dealer says he won't have the VIN until the first week in January, because they had already filled their December allocation.

Thanks, I'm going to get as much together as I can and call them tomorrow. I know I am priority 10, but like they said earlier, it doesn't matter much if that dealer isn't getting any more allocations this month.

Well, I guess the computer that runs the voice status system got all rested up - called just now and it's back at work. No change in my status, however - still clean and unscheduled. (Which, I suppose, beats my previous status of "compatibility error".)
