We finally called the dealer we ordered from December 6th. Before I even spilled the beans they told us that Ford really dropped the ball, blah blah blah...and there was no hope of getting our order filled as a 2005 model. We were 7th in line at a mid volume dealer. We had previously been told we would get an 05, but later this summer.

Anyway we told them to cancel and that we were unhappy with the way the Ford retail ordering system works. They were nice about it and apologetic, I did say I was disappointed it took them so long to be truthful about our order having no chance of being filled. They had no issue about not giving us back our deposit.

Thankfully we were diligent in looking at dealer stock and found one we liked. I posted about our delivery earlier. Just wanted to pass on the experience. It's good to see other people getting their Nov/Dec orders. Good luck to everyone still waiting.
