Police: Racing Led To Parking Lot Crash
Driver Arrested On Drug, Speed-Contest Charges

INDIANAPOLIS -- One car racing another on Keystone Avenue overturned after it veered into a parking lot and struck an unoccupied vehicle Friday afternoon, the Marion County Sheriff's Department said.

Authorities said Elliott Campbell, 20, the driver of the 1995 Saab that flipped, suffered a minor hand injury. No other injuries were reported.

Campbell lost control of the Saab as he was driving south on the 8300 block of Keystone Avenue. The Saab went into a Saline Bank parking lot and struck a 2005 Ford Mustang, the sheriff's department said.

The parked Mustang also overturned, RTV6 reported.

Authorities said Campbell had been racing against a blue Nissan 300 ZX that did not stop for the crash. Police didn't immediately know the whereabouts of the Nissan or its driver.

Campbell was arrested on charges of marijuana possession and engaging in a speed contest.
