Can someone help me?
My car starts but my radio, rear defrost, headlights, brake lights, windows, my gas gauge don't work, also my abs and my oil light are on. My heat works, my speedometer, my fog lights work. Can someone please help me figure this out? Oh one more thing my car wont shift out of park unless I use the release button.

Hi Shannon -- the first thing to check would be the fuses. There is a fuse box under the dash in the passenger foot-well area, and another under the hood.
The owner's manual will give some clues as to which fuses control those circuits. You can pull the fuses and look at them to see if they are burned out.

Have you had rain lately? The 2005 and up had a water leak under the hood at the cabin air filter area. Check for wet carpet on the passenger side floor. The fuse box (or smart junction box) in the footwell can get wet and cause these problems. There is a TSB for the water leak and there is a little drain & grommet under the cabin air filter that can get clogged. If you search the forums for water leak you should find some more info. I had the smart junction box replaced on mine years back when this occurred. The “SJB” controls all the non-engine related electrical stuff. Good luck!

I have a 2006 Mustang V6 Pony Package and the headlights always stay on when the E-brake is down. As soon as it’s up the lights turn off. I noticed there’s a button that gets pressed when the ebrake goes down which could be turning the lights on, but why it decided to do it on its own i have no idea. It wasn’t like that before, because at dusk I liked to drive with just my fog lights on but now I have no choice. Anyone know what’s wrong with it?

hi Spruil... -- suggest you start a new thread for that question, and use a clear descriptive subject like "headlights always on"
