Can the Dash be changed?
#1
I just had a quick question about the IUP set-up. We all know the IUP has the 6 gauge setup while the non-IUP only has 4. Well, I ordered the non-IUP but I really prefer the 6 gauge look without all the other gimmicky My Color stuff. So, are there kits available so you can change this?

I don't get why you didn't get the IUP to tell you the truth. The MyColor is not intrusive and can be left to one color. IN addition, the IUP adds the cool Aluminum interior, shift ****, brushed aluminum door sills, aluminum door handles, much more, and the most important thing....ability to add side airbags.
In response to your original question, no. I don't think that would be possible.

Not everyone likes the look of the IUP aluminum dash either. I realize most do, but I think it is a bit too flashy. I would like the other gauges and the message center, but that is a trade-off some are willing to make.

I've seen the aluminum dash, and even though it is a satin finish, I just don't care for it. It does look a bit better in person than in pics, but I prefer the cleaner look of black. I hate how silver finished electronics have replaced black once again since the 80's when black became the norm. On the other hand, I also don't think the dark gray dash looks that great either, and think the overall dash design is the S197's Mustang's worst feature, probably because it is so flat across the front. The rest of the car makes up for the shortcomings of the dash though.
