Calling Swingle...How do I install radiator cover?

I want to make sure I put this in right. Do I just go around the edges with the silicone, or do I coat the bottom side fairly heavily??? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have messaged him for you. But from what I remember, he used it on the underside as a 'glue'. But I am sure he will get back to you this morning.

Morning guys! I was dreaming about a supercharger until the late hours this morning. Sorry about that. LOL Yes, I just went around the edges with a small amount and down the middle with a thicker zig zagging line. Mine is in place well and I didn't use much of the tube at all really. I sat a few heavy tools on top of it overnight with the hood up and came back to the garage the next morning and it was good to go....Good luck and please post some pics when ya get done. Did ya get the polished or the brushed?

P.S. When you first put it on it's easy to slide it back and forth for awhile and get it perfectly centered so don't worry about that.....

You should also outline the inside cutouts with the silicone, that way you won't trap water under it.

I have seen pictures of the cover, and had a question. How do you take off the whole piece (cover & original) if you can't get to the plastic push pins that attach it to the car? Do you have to take off the cover first? Just wondering.

Thanks a lot Swingle. I bought the brushed look. I like that better. I also got the brushed fuse box cover and the set of oil cap, radiator cap and power steering cap covers.

I will be getting the intake manifold cover from Rene and I'm also windering if a strut tower brace would fit with the intake cover.

Jeff, I thought of the same thing as soon as I got it. Good idea.

Thanks for hitting him up for me Bryan. How's the hood holding up now??? Any thought on hood pins???

You're welcome Nick! There's nothing holding this piece on except the silicone to answer the other question....It's made to just fit right into place over the bolts/nuts w/o having to loosen anything....Very simple install and it cleans up the underside of the hood alot.....Here's a few shots of mine at various angles....

Nice. Now how do you keep your engine compartment so clean. Do you just spray it with a pressure washer???

Usually just wipe down the black plastic pieces with Armor all....I've been showing it a lot so I keep it pretty clean most of the time...looking forward to seeing your pics bro!

Can anyone answer my question about how you get the plastic (not the Steeda piece, but the piece that it covers) off of the car if the Steeda piece covers the plastic push pins? I guess that you just can't take it off, right. That is going to give you problems if you ever have to take out the radiator, or have to get to anything that is beneath it. Later.

You could measure for the holes and get drilling. I would get some sort of plug to fill the hole though.
