California only Special Edition Info
As long as its sponsored by Ford it is an official special edition package. Would I buy one, probably not. But it is a neat idea none the less.
It reminds me a lot of the Twister II's offered in 1985.

What are you...the Gang of Two? LOL
I wouldn't call it B.S., Ford/Mercury regions have been doing "specials" for years. CA Special, CO High Country Special, (Cougar) Sport Special, Bronze Age Special. Ski Special. It makes them a little different and interesting. Some we still don't even know about, they were just a batch order for something.
If anyone finds a 428CJ Cougar with odd stripes and Cragar mags it would be a cool find.

Naaaa....it's not a "genuine" Ford SE so I don't consider it real news.
I think you guys are missing something. This CS model may be just another dealership mod, and lots of dealers have made them. BUT, as grrr428 pointed out, this is nithing new. Dealerships have offered modified mustangs and other muscle cars in the past. Even though they are not factoy SE modles, many of the early mods like the "Twister" and others are very rare, valuable, and saught after. But they also had high performance mods to back up the decals and glitz. Dealers would stuff a larger engine, suspension parts and such , give it a speacil name and the rest was history.
It apperas to me that most of the "Special" mods being offered today are just paint and glitz, with out extra perfomance mods to back them up, in which case I doubt they will ever be much more valuable than a standard GT. just about everyone want so offer a "Special" Mustangs these days to cash in on the new cars populaity. The ones that will be collectable in the future wil be limited numbers , have a reconizable name on them like Foose, Shelby or others, and have extra performance to back up the glitz.

Ok so its not very good, i had to take the picture from the roof, can't slack off to much during work. I'll get some more later.
Just found out all of ours are going to be automatics... not something i'll be buying. Probably just stick with the manual vista blue i had planned on getting.
