The two are *probably* unrelated, but the left tail lamp is either a bad connection at the pigtail at the lens... OR there's a water issue with the smart junction box on the right side kick panel area. Been known to happen. Excepting these, it's wires somewhere in the car or the lights/sockets.

The ac knock... a little more descriptive might be in order, however, if it's in the compressor under the hood, well, that's a new compressor. Perhaps a clutch. MAYBE an idler pulley or such. If it's in the dash, then... well, I don't exactly know what'd cause that.. or anywhere else, actually, unless the fan is hitting something. Overall, that's a take it somewhere where you can get an expert to diagnose it kind of thing when it comes to AC stuff. You will drive yourself nuts if you don't know what you're doing on that stuff. Plus, there's laws about the refridgerant that you don't wanna really mess with.

Hope that helps in some way. Good luck!

if it starts when you first turn on air and goes off after a few seconds it your blen air door actuator. my wife's flex started doing it but only when you turned a/c off while and turned it back on, fixed under warranty.

Hello aavila2322,

I am unable to diagnose your vehicle. I recommend you have your dealer take a look and make sure there is nothing going on. If you need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to PM me.

Just took my 2012 Mustang in for a knocking noise. When I start the car (whether the a/c is on or not) and then again if I turn on the A/C. I'll try to attach a video. Noise seemed to be behind dash not in the engine.
The car was fixed in approx 2 hours and here's what is on the invoice:

cause: N33
19616B Motor Assembly - A/C DOOR ACTUATOR (Defrost)
Replace (18A318/19E616) - L
1 part # AR3Z*19E616*E MOTOR ASY

No price on the invoice since it was under warranty.
