Bullitt strut tower brace dilema

I had gotten a Bullitt STB from KC about a week and a half ago. I assumed that there wouldn't be any clearance issues with the GT500 hood that I put on my car.....wrong!! I found that it just makes contact with the underside of the hood even without the hood insulator blanket. The underside hood panel is grooved for the GT500 STB but not in the same place where the Bullitt brace sits.
My question is, would it be possible to bend the brace down without changing the angle of the mounting holes on the strut tower??
Thats really my only choice I suppose since I can't send it back. If not I guess I'll have to sell it. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks,
Mark

Hey Mark, one of our guys in our club, Todd, took his Steeda brace, and put it in a press. Pushed it down enough to clear his stock GT hood without contacting the hoodliner.

05fordgt: Do you have any more details on how he used the press to squish the brace? I am interested in doing this to my GT500 brace. It needs to be squished in 2 spots and would fit my stock GT hood.

Hey Metroplex,
I'd be willing to trade STB's with ya, then neither of us would have to squish anything.
