I'm suprised that the Charger is getting as many votes (14%)
This should be a blow-out!

I like the Charger, it is a good looking sedan, and if I was in the market for a large 4 door sedan it would probably be between the Charger and the 300 for me. But of course, the Charger can't compete with the Mustang.

I can't believe i'm the only one hear who seems to think the charger is cool. I can't help but think that if the ford 500 had come out looking like the charger looks, you'd all love it. I mean of course i'd take the mustang over the charger, but if i needed a four door, i'd definitely take the charger.

As a person who has spent the last 3 months finding dealers who would honor x-plan, struggling with choosing a color and deciding what options to order with my car, I can say that I am a BIG fan of the new Mustang. I have also spent countless hours on this site learning lots of useful advice, tips and information. I was all set to order a Tungsten V6, but I saw the Charger in person and decided to give one a spin. The Charger is a very nice ride and the AutoStick is really pretty cool. The car is super quiet and very smooth. The Mustang and the Charger are two totally different cars, so it's not really fair to compare the two. The Charger is heavier, but with more hp, the power to weight ratios are nearly identical. I will admit the Mustang looks a lot better, but the Charger interior wins. With a baby on the way, I know I will like having four doors and a big back seat. Daimler Chrysler offers pricing similar to the x-plan, so I was able to order an Inferno Red Charger at 1% below invoice, using my employer's discount. Should be here in 8 weeks.
BTW--The Highland Green is awesome and you soon to be Tungsten owners will have one sweet color!

That article was sweet, really cool photos, especially the cover. Did you guys see what i posted last week about some random statistic elsewhere in the motor trend issue talking about a san francisco resident and the number of flames they got on a mustang enthusiast site after saying he saw a black charger and a highland green mustang flying around san fran.

(crazy how fast threads get burried, this is on page 7 or something...)

are you F'N serious????????????
have you seen the tail-end of the charger. If you haven't seen one up close then probably not, as they are never shown on paper because when put next to a stratus; they are the same exact rearend. Besides where does Dodge get off on claiming a throwback "MUSCLECAR" with a 4 door sedan look???vince
85% Mustang this morning.
Maybe this is out of place, but let me vent here. My brother has a Challenger TA; my uncle and several cousins HAD Roadrunners. My cousin's husband had an awesome GTX. A good friend has a 70 Charger RT.
Q. What do all these awesome Mopars have in common?
A. Coupes with manual transmissions.
The guys at Dodge ought to be ashamed of themselves for putting the awesome moniker of Charger on a sedan. And what's this auto only crap? I thought driving a car like this was supposed to be fun. How much fun can it be to give up control to a computer that shifts whenever it decides?
An autostick on a hemi is like putting training wheels on a fatboy. (I am referring to a motorcycle here rather than an obese child.) That automobile can have no soul. And yes I know there were some of 426 hemi's with Torqueflite automatics, but those were also the days of Dacron polyester clothing. Do you take my meaning?
