Bullet, Shelby KR and other photos
I took a bunch of photos at the Chicago Auto Show yesterday, most are of the Challenger and other things but Also a few stangs including an awsome looking vista blue shelby gt500 KR. I was actually very unimpressed with the bullet mustang. For some reason it just looks too ordinary for my tastes.
Here is the gallery of the photos I took, the stangs are near the end/middle pages of the gallery

I really like the challenger from the outside. I'm just not impressed with the production model interior dash and middle console. Mustang interior looks better imo. Engine is 6.1 hemi. 425 hp and 420 torque. MSRP $40,095. Nice numbers but the weight is gonna slow her down. I was impressed with the interior of the concept.

I've seen orders for a fully loaded(only 3 options available) Challenger at 41k. That includes the $2,100 gas guzzler tax.
Could those emblems be any bigger? Wow. I'm also not a fan of the SHELBY lettering on the rear and especially the front.

I went to the Detroit Auto Show last month and was dissapointed that the Challenger was not on display. The KR was there as well as the Camaro (which you couldn't walk around).

I like the Challenger a lot, but I still like the Mustang more. As for the Camaro, I'm not feeling it at all. GM should re-design their re-designed car IMO. (And I was a die hard Camaro/TransAm fan too). Though I'm sure it will perform very well.

Dan, that price they listed may be for the 2009 models. The 2008 models are exactly what others have mentioned. With GG tax, it starts over $40,000. And for that money, to be the same performance as our stock 300 hp, $26,000 GT Mustangs is a BIG disappointment. A GT500 will smack its doors in. Heck, a very lightly modded GT can beat a Challenger. And those 1/4 mile numbers don't jive. If it does 0-60 in 4.9, then the quarter will be just around 13.9-14.1, depending on launch and such. The biggest letdown to this car (and I do LOVE the way it looks. If I had the $$$, a 2009 Sublime Hemi for me, and I'm not even a Mopar guy) is the weight. Its a REAL porker at almost 4,200 lbs empty. Weighs more than a GT500!!

Come to think of it, the emblem looks about the same as a stock GT500 . The only thing that makes it look bigger is the pieces on each side that have the year on them. Just a guess though. Does look SICK!!!

Its exactly those wings that I'm talking about! IMO they detract from what the car represents...
