Today the ERL said "as of May 9th your vehicle has been shipped by convoy carrier" getting closer !!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, dealer called, its there! Tring to get outta work to go get it this afternoon.

I know that this is useless w/ out pics, but I will post them as soon as I get ahold of a digital camera (yes I'm one of the 2% of the population w/out one!)! I'm so happy, its only been 109 days since I ordered!

 

Good Lord man, go get that car. You don't want to leave it in the hands of the evil lot people.

Boy, was the wait worth it, all I did was drive yesterday, almost 100 miles! It was about to storm last night, so I had to get Black Onyx in its room! I love the car it's absolutely wonderful. Ford is so nice, I even got 2 extra plastic pins on the rear floor. They look like the dark gray plastic pins that are used in several areas of the car to clip plastic. Car looked great, during my escapades yesterday, I got 2 small rock chips in the bumper which stinks! The paint does seem awfully soft!

Quick story, my GF was in it with me and I was like "Have you ever done a burn out" She was like "Ohh no" so I said are you sure you want me to do it and she was like UHH OK. So I did a quick little one and now she loves them! What a great girl!

 

Called ERL yesterday afternoon and she said "as of May 9th your car has been delivered to the ramp". I've been out of town for the last 3 days so I called my fleet manager yesterday to see if he had any changes in status and he said they expect it to be here tomorrow. It's moving a little quicker than they originally had expected. I'm sure I won't get much sleep tonight.

 

Mine is moving faster as well, the eta to the bay area was 5/28. Now it looks like it might be 5/20.

Gotta love living so close to Flat Rock! I was really surprised that the car was there the Wednesday after the production week.

 

Mine was shipped 05/05 by convoy carrier....it's also going to the bay area (Benicia is where they all land in the SF Bay Area).....should be soon. I just unloaded the old car today and have cash in pocket for the down. Bad news, I'm going out of town all weekend, better not come in then! Well, I guess it would be OK.

 

Wow... People are getting their stangs in 1 to 2 weeks. Much fast then I was thinking which is a bad and a good thing. But i'll live if I get it inside two weeks.

Only another 6 days before my pony is built.

 

Salesguy just told me my car will be in "any day now". I don't think my nerves can take anymore of this. When "the call" comes I might pass out. ERL is still saying it was shipped via convoy carrier. Would they really ship from Michigan to Washington by truck? Thats over 2000 miles. Seems like train would be more efficient.

 

Salesman just called....MY CAR IS IN.........I am going to pick it up in about 2 hours. Wooo Hoooooo

 

Mine must be on a fast train, the eta to the SF Bay Area was 5/20 now it's 5/19.

I think mine is with yours. It was put on a rail car on 5/4 for the short trip to Chicago as of friday it was still on a rail car somewhere. Aaaarrrrrggghhh!

 

As of May 13th, your vehicle is at the ramp......I'll be listening for the phone, the ramp is only about 60 miles away.

 

I don't know what's the holdup with mine. As of today (5/17) ERL still says "As of May 9th your vehicle has been produced". I could drive to Detroit from St. Louis easily in 1 day. (I used to live in Detroit and made the trip often!).

Anyone by chance know were the ramp is for Portland, Oregon area dealerships?

Ok, it is official. I am going nuts. Car was built on 5/2 shipped "via convoy carrier" 5/3. Have heard nothing since. ERL gives me the same message. The dealer says "any day now" Why can I trace a $10 CD ordered from Amazon, but not a $27000 car? Sorry, I am just getting a liiitttle bit tense. I know that it could take 2-3 weeks, but when I see people get their cars that were shipped after mine, my emotions get the better of me.

 

I hear you on that one. I'm hoping I don't get stuck with a late delivery of my Mustang. I don't know how much longer I can bear to wait. As long as I have it by the first week of June. On the flip side I almost want it to wait until June. Because if it shows up in May I have to start payments on it in June which is bad and good.

I won't complain if I have it next weekend though
