Driving home on the turnpike late last night with virtually no one else on the road, I noticed just how bright the high beams are no these things. Anyone else have the same experience? It's nice to know you can drive safely in very dark places...

I've seen some posts by some that get flashed with just low beams and the fogs on.

That is good to know. I was considering installing Xenon HID headlights because they seem to light up the road well and look pretty cool... but guess I'll just wait and see.

Thanks Barrett

Fog lights (I use them more as running lights) are on with low beams only. They switch off when you flip the high beams on. There is another thread from somone who bypassed this feature so they were on all the time but it was not the easiest thing to do.

Yeah, we've been flashed several times with the fogs on; people think that because there are 4 lights they must be brights. The fogs do shine low and really light up the road well, but if you go over a bump they shine up and are really bright to oncoming vehicles. We got pulled over last week by a local cop for driving with the fogs... :notnice:

Haven't gotten the chance to try out the high beams yet, live in a pretty good size city. I really hope they are bright, I have some trouble seeing well on dark country roads anymore.

I drive with headlights+fogs all the time at night, I love the extra light they give. Guess I'm getting old.

I got flashed constantly when I had the fog lights on... I don't use them anymore as it gets annoying to be blinded by an oncoming car flashing you every five minutes.

So, can anyone comment on the difference if you install under-drive pulleys?
Are the lights noticeably less bright?

I'm waiting for Sylvania to come out with their "Silverstar" bulbs for both the headlights & driving lights.

I've only been flashed once with the fogs on. They really aren't that bright, check it out with just the fogs on at night in your driveway and you'll see. I think that because of the size and placement of the fogs people just assume - 4 lights, must have brights on. I will also continue to drive with mine, they are not a hazard to anyone IMHO.

Ok, here's a dumb question. How do you turn on the High Beams? My switch has Off, Park, Lights, and Pull for Fog lights. No High beams. Maybe since I don't have the IUP?

Pull the headlight lever to you... if feels funny, almost like its not suppose to work that way, but pull it to you and release it-- your high beams will come on.

EDIT: Unless its different from GT and V6

BTW they are bright and thats wonderful! They even have a great span -- I can see all the way on the side of the road -- into the trees even!
