Brenspeed or Bama?
#23
I was settled on brenspeed until I told him I had bassani long tube headers. A common problem on these cars is the upstream O2 sensors being to far away from the motor and don't heat up fast enough so they will set off the MIL(check engine light). Something about how long they stay in closed loop before going to open loop, or the other way around, if that makes sense to you. Anyways, brenspeed told me I had to get rid of the headers, get used the MIL, or just get rid of the check engine light. Tillman said they could take care of it, but I went with Doug from Bamachips because of how highly he was recommended. So far I haven't had any problems, but I have only had the tune and exhaust on for a couple months. Also, give Doug some time, I believe he is a one man operation, so he might not be able to get back to you right away. By the way, I have a manual and love my 91 Race tune.

Thanks Everyone
Just wanted to thank everyone for their input with everything.... Although they both seem very good I went with BAMACHIPS. It seems like his tunes are just a hair bit better from what everyone says. I will probally buy some from Brenspeed later as well. Its only a few bucks.
Thanks everyone

I heard the best service is with brenspeed. just incase crap hits the fan you can could get a hold of someone alot sooner. I heard the customer service at bama is just Doug. Just from what I have heard from other forums.

There should be a FAQ outlawing these threads any more. Must be about 50 brenspeed vs bamachips threads this year alone.. hahah. Use either person. Bamachips has a rep for automatic cars but I don't know about it personally since I have a manual. I have both Brenspeed and Bamachips tunes for my car and they are very similar. (Dyno'd both tunes too!)
ENOUGH. They are both good. Flip a coin. Ask your local palm reader. Use a Bama/Brent dart board.
Do something, anything, but STOP with these threads!!!
