Brake Rotors - V6 vs GT
I plan on doing a new brake setup on my car as the brake pads from auto zone (duralast gold I believe), the retaining tabs or the little clips on the side of the front brake pads to push themselves away from the rotor popped off and won’t stay on so put OEM back on one side but they were still good, anyways my passenger side was the reason I replaced the pads in the first place because I was driving and started to hear a loud grinding every time I turned or just from normal driving, so I pulled over and looked at my brakes and my passenger front brake rotor was all chewed up and apparently metal on metal was rubbing and no more pad, I am going with Powerstop brake pads unless anyone else has bang for buck because I plan on going GT swap later down the road and have found some drilled and slotted brake rotors and it said the v6 (293.0x29.9mm) was smaller then the GT (315.6x30.00mm) Up Front and just wanted to confirm if there was any size difference I have to be aware of, I am gonna go with the GT rotors but aren’t the rotors, calipers, etc. the same up front? And same with shocks?

On the 2005-2010, the front the calipers are the same, but the rotors and the caliper brackets are different. Just get GT caliper brackets and rotors and you're good to go. The rear calipers and rotors are the same between v6 and GT. Ford Racing used to sell the v6 upgrade package which was just 2 GT rotors and 2 GT calipers brackets. Don't know if they still offer it, but I'm sure you can get the brackets at any salvage yard.
