Brake disc "rust"
#1
OK, I've had my GT for exactly one week, and today I noticed that all my brake discs have become spotted with orange "rust."
Yesterday was the first day it had rained since I've had my car, and it's been raining since.
Would this have something to do with the almost overnight appearance of this orange stuff?
I've had other cars that did this, but only with age.
Now I'm concerned.
Plus, it's really unsightly showing through the Fanblades. You can distinctly see orange even from a distance.
Is this really rust, or something else?
Is there some sort of spray-on product that will clean this stuff off?
Also, does spray-on tire dressing somehow accelerate this spotting process?

Yeah, I just took her for a spin, and they look brand new again.
Like I said before, I've noticed this on older cars I've owned, but I guess I'm just hyper-sensitve to any weird things happening with my baby right now.
Thanks, guys!
Weird thing is, this didn't happen after her first bath.

Raw metal rotors (i.e not painted), with rain and water on them = rusty rotors. Next time you go past a BMW dealership, take notice of the cars there. All the brakes are full of rust, even the M-cars. Nothing to worry about.

Agreed, if you go into a ford dealer lot after the day it rains you'll notice especially for cars that have been there for a while whill have the whole outer coat of rust on their rotors. It's completely normal and ok. you would think that a brand new car wouldn't have rust especially still on the lot, but you realize that it's just from the rain and all is good.
