Using someone elses photos is one thing, to put someone elses face on the net to advertise.............pathetic. I would be ticked off big-time.

lighten up its just a picture of a car...and let's face it they pretty much all look alike...Brad's website also thrives on spy pix...I don't think anybody gives him permission for those...yet we all love to look at them...

Rex,

Ford understands the assumption of risk when they take an unreleased car on public streets. Photos taken of those cars belong to the photographers, not to Ford Motor Company.

It's one thing to use my photos, but to use my logo in association with something you're selling is wrong.

I called the dealership and spoke to General Manager Sonny Justus, who is a real jerk. He won't take the photos down, so I reported the auctions to eBay. I'll also be filing a formal complaint with Ford Motor Company and with the owner of the dealership.

good idea brad...those jerky vultures need a wakeup call...those photos are copyrighted to your site, and everybody that uses them without permission is breaking the law...did u just ask sonny to take them down or did you demand it?

almost all of his listing have pics from YOUR site

Seems like we get some pretty good information from some salespeople who visit this site, especially Karpo.

He's also using a photo that I took.

There are a lot of dealerships doing this. I am also reporting him to eBay. He's using the white vert picture that I took.

I just read the decription... n/m what I said just now, LOL!!!

The description reads like a slimey used car salesman. Trying to justify his mark ups. Not to mention, his spelling and general grasp of the English language is fairly poor, I am surprised there are bids on his auctions.

Brad...playing Devil's Advocate here...I agree about the use of your logo...they shouldn't use it without your permission...but how about posting the photo of the grill from the 2006? last week on this site...that photo was obviously sniped from inside Ford ...I don't believe this is an assumption of risk that Ford just believes will happen....but now it is out there for all to see... .I can see why you would be upset about the use of your logo, but I would also exercise the same caution or discretion when it comes to using unauthorized photographs from Ford.......what's good for the goose is good for the gander ....Rex

That photo was taken by a Ford employee. Back when production originally began, he told us of the dangers of taking unauthorized photos, and we advocated caution in that case as well. If the photo that you are referring to could have cost the guy his job, he wouldn't have taken it, and Brad wouldn't have posted it.

LOL anyone see what he said about getting one out of the first batch? The VIN ends in 164668...about 64000 off the first to hit the road.

Not to mention they want $31,990 for it. With that much markup you'd think they'd be able to afford a decent digital camera and take their own pictures.
