I wouldn't mind seeing the new movie having Bullitt drive a 2007 427 Roush against the upcoming 2009 Dodge Challenger...

I agree, I always remember Ryan Reynolds as the tall guy in that TV show "Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza" from 1998-2000. No way he could be Frank Bullitt.

I don't think Brad Pitt is a bad choice, he's older now and I think he can pull it off. Of course I also think Daniel Craig (with and English accent) would be good too.

I dont like the remake idea. NOONE can compare to Steve McQueen, plain and simple. But since they're gonna do it, I don't want to see Brad Pitt, Daniel Craig would be much better, or just find an unknown person. I just want to see real drivers and realistic stunts. Did anyone see the last jump in the Gone in 60 Seconds remake, that was complete bull.

There was a huge uproar about that. I'm pretty sure something like that is never going to happen again.

i think it would be better off if it was a cast of unknowns or lesser known actors. it will be pretty awesome as long as a good director gets attached to the film which is highly unlikely and a shame. rian johnson or roger avary come to mind.

I second Christian Bale...... he was great in 'Harsh Times'

Jason Statham would be a better choice than Brad Pitt.

I just hope it will still have Frank Bullitt driving a Mustang, and that they don't replace it with a Civic or a Scion or something.

Daniel Craig, for sure. I saw a preview yesterday before Transformers for a new movie he's in, and I think he had an American accent in it, but it was pretty quick.

Found it: The Invasion. No english accent in the trailer.

When I saw Layer Cake, I thought instantly he would make a good Bullitt, even before they mentioned a remake. He looks and acts a LOT like McQueen. Tough but humble. Not like a Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible 9..

Although, in a perfect world, Bruce Campbell would star in every movie.

I think George Clooney would be perfect for the role of the smarmy politician, Walter Chalmers, played wonderfully by Robert Vaughn in the original.

Him or ex Gov. McGreevy or current Gov. Corzine. NJ folks, you know what I'm talking about.
