Doubt the Mustang platform would ever go AWD. Much more likely that the next-gen Focus, based on the Mazda 3/Volvo S40 platform would as the Volvo varient already has the AWD hardware engineered and on the lots. Slap a hot turbo on the new 2.3 motor, beef up the chassis, put on your requisite body ornamentation and voila, Ford has something to go head to head with the EVO and STi. Will they do it.....

If you look at the Cobra S from Kenny Brown, you will see it is a subtle Monster like you mentioned. He and Steve Saleen used to race together. Kenny went his own way because he didn't like Saleen's philosophy. Kenny likes all go and not much show. He asked me "DO you want to go fast or look good?" I think his car looks good in that it is not overdone like Saleen.

Wow the stuff I saw from Kenny looked good. (They're reworking the site right now, so could only find some other stuff). Everyone getting ready for SEMA I assume. Thanks for the tip. Of course he's tuning from a Cobra, so I'd have to wait until that came out first. But I did like his philosophy.

I'd say go for the Saleen if you want styling, performance, and exclusivity. Earlier you mentioned something about aftermarket tuners weighing more on performance and less on comfort, well, both Saleen and Roush offer all those and great comfort so any of those would be good. The only drawback to owning cars like those, however, is the price. If you can afford the $$$ then go with it. But think about this, would you rather opt for a 45K Corvette or opt for a 45K Saleen? Both are great cars and offer all those (comfort, style, performance, exclusivity), but I would still rather get the Saleen cuz it will stick out from the sea of vettes on the road - just my 2cents.

SWEET CRAP! Those are awesome chops! AMAZING!

Only problem with the Boss chop is that I don't think rear window louvers would be a factory option though!

When you've got choices like that, how do you make a wrong one?

its nice to see these ideas, because they just arent badged up GT's with different motors and suspensions. these actually have different body cosmetics. a ducktail here, a hood scoop there, a concept bottom fascia over yonder.

I like the Mach 1, but the graphics on the side are a little too busy in my opinion. Otherwise, it is really good looking.

I would like to see a Bullitt chop like that, but based on the actual '05 production model and not the concept. The foglights/turn signals in lower bumper look out of place on a Bullitt, i think. Should be simpler.

As far as the Boss, it is perfect! I wouldn't change a thing. Gorgeous!

Now, as far as the Shelby Cobra goes...i don't care for it. There are a couple of ok ideas there, but personally i don't like it. I won't list the reasons i don't like it, but i will only say it isn't my cup of tea. I can think of alot of old Shelby design cues that i would like better. That is just my opinion too though.

In any case, thanks for the cool pics. I expect we will see some similar designs within the next year from Ford. Maybe a Bullitt?

Sorry, i didn't mean to criticize. I was just giving my opinion. And, i really like 3 out of 4. The Boss is exactly how i picture it, and the Mach and Bullitt are very close to the picture in my head too. I know it takes alot of work to produce those chops, and my hat is off to all of those guys. Didn't mean for it to be a knock against any of them that they have a little different taste than me in some areas. Thanks again for posting.

Amazing pictures! I must admit, I find the Mach 1 the most attractive. I love the switch from round to rectangular driving lights. That would be a nice aftermarket add on.

Jay
Not sure which one to order now, they're all so beautiful!
