borla vs corsa

hi all, i'm really thinking about getting either the corsa axle backs or the borla cat back system

i know the corsa's have almost no drone, but are they powerful sounding?

what about the borla's, i havent heard anyone say anything about their drone, but is there a noticable drone at cruising?

any help is appreciated, thanks

Borla vs Corsa

I have Corsa's and love them. No, Corsa's don't have little drone-they have none-period.

Do they sound powerful, at WOT they will really make you smile. At cruise, they're about as quiet as stock. I ILVE the sound they make at idle. I think Corsa'are simply the best- but that's me.

If you're thinking of the Borla S-Type, all I've been reading about is drone. It bothers some and doesn't bother others. Run a search for "Stingers" to see. Borla S-type is the same as FRPP Stingers and I think Steeda and a few other companies. If your thinking a different Borla system, I couldn't tell you.

Raj, I have the Borla Stingers, and I wouldn't give them up for any other exhaust. Heck, my car got rear-ended, and I needed a new set of pipes, and I got the same set again. They sound THAT GOOD! Is there drone, yes, between 1,700 and 2,000 RPM. Once you pass 2,000, its gone. And its not that bad anyhow. Some make it out to be really bad, and it isn't anything like that. If you have a 5-speed, you can get rid of the drone with a shift of gears. Its such a great sound, I sometimes turn the radio down just to hear the pipes.

I respect Jeff's opinion, but the Stingers drone like a mother... It's that simple. I agree, do a seach... Better yet, search the for sale section... people are selling the Stingers left & right. You'll probably see that I sold mine there as well... lol. Many have reported that the Corsa sound better with higher air flow... i.e., removing the cats, LT headers, etc., . I know that I can't think of anyone who doesn't like them... If those are your only choices, I'd say definitely Corasa. You may want to expand your horizon... there are many more good axle backs out there that you may want to consider, i.e., Flowmasters, GTAs, Bassani, SLPs... etc. The former have minimal drone progressing with the latter. Good luck

Go to the GT Tech forum, and search for my thread regarding Borla vs Corsa. TONS of info there, including different midpipe options.
