Angry Body shop issues

One of my co-workers hit my car with his brush guard in the lower rear wheel well area. Damage was not severe. Took it to a local body shop that I have dealt with before and never had an issue until now. They kept the car 3 days and called me to pick it up. I got there and went to look everything over. I was horrified at what I saw. The body repair is the worst ever. Uneven, edge of the wheel well is thin in some spots and there are runs in the paint. There was also a "new" blemish on the bumper where it looks like it was knocked with something, not to mention the buildup of polish, compound between the fender and bumper. When I took it in there was no damage to the bumper at all and was not to be touched. I dragged the owner out and he apologised at least 10 times and said "Im gonna chew some *** when you leave!" Told me to bring it back and they would take care of it. Got home and went to put something in the trunk. The trunk liner was still peeled back and just laying there. I'm reluctant to even take it back to them now. Should I take it back and give them another try? Demand my money back and take it somewhere else? Tell him not to let that same guy touch my car again? I figure the guy will put up a fight if I don't let him try to fix it again. Iv'e had work done there before and came back with perfect results.

If you had good results before, I would give them the opportunity to make it right. This time the owner will probably check it out himself before they call and tell you it is ready. Good luck

If you're good with the owner, i'm sure they'll make the effort to fix it

When the owner gets involved and this is a 2nd attempt on a repair, I'll side with the others who say give them another chance. I would have loved to hear the conversation between him and the body/paint guy who did such poor work.

Good luck with the repair.

Give him another chance, and I'm sure he'll make it right. Owners don't want the name of their business slandered, even if it's true and warranted. Betcha he'd even knock a little off the price to stick with him for another go 'round.
