I found out today that my "Black Sunshine" is coming even earlier. Instead of coming between the 5th and the 14th of May, she is coming between the 1st and the 8th. All you guys who have gotten their Black 05s with red interior, please post some pics of them and maybe even suggest some cheap easy mods. Post some pics of these beauties!

As far as cheap mods...can't go wrong with the sequential tail lights

Window tint is a must on the black. Between the two, your at most $400 into it.

Also, red door sill letters really wrap up the interior. Either go with vinyl or paint them. I paid under $30 for mine.

So for less than $450, your black and red beauty will have some more personality.

Sorry if you were looking for performance mods. I haven't gone that way. But I did remove the HC trap for free!

Wow, seeing the pics just makes me want mine that much more. I know I only ordered mine a couple of weeks ago but it's only because I was just sure I had the money to get it. I've wanted my black on red since I saw the first pic. I have good faith in my dealer that I will have the car on the time frame, which was 6-12 weeks. I can't imagine though having been waiting on an order since Oct. Looks great, someone post some more pics.

Thats really nice...I think a that is going to be one of the most popular choices for '05. I love the red seats...the only way to go IMO!

Check out the red running pony mats at 50resto.com. they match the red sets better, fit better, and are of much better quality than the OEM mats. You also get rear mats. I'm saving the originals for my kids to put in when they sell it at the Barrett-Jackson auction in about 40 years. $72.00 plus shipping for the 4 mats. Also the agree red door sill letter look good, got mine from Bob White decals. Only "mods" I plan on making.

 

Man! I love the black Stangs with the red interior. It was my first choice, but the wife wouldn't allow it. She said that the red interior made it look like it was Rick James' car and that black was too hard to keep clean. So, I let her pick and she chose Mineral Grey with Dark Charcoal interior and I don't regret her decision one bit, even though I still think the black & red looks sweet no matter what she says...just don't tell her I said that

Anybody else get different sets of floor mats that match well? I was looking at the ones from GG Bailey's, but I was thinking about going with black mats and red trim, heel pad, and custom embroidered message on theirs. Have heard from everybody that the factory ones aren't good at all. Heard on another forum though that someone thought with the red seats and door inserts that the red floor mats were just too much red, so for those of you lucky enough to have your car what do you think?

I order some black mats also, not because I thought it was too much red, but because the red will be impossible to keep clean. I mean just a little oil on your shoes and those mats are done. :notnice:

How about this combo...Black mats with black heel pad, red "mustang" lettering with a silver border to match the IUP>
