Dunno.... Throw this grille on the front of a V6 OR a GT (V6's don't have fogs... might make for a more fitting conversion VS Loosing those fogs) and you've got a sexy looking stang.
I think CDC really did an increadible job on their car. I love the hood as well. That car made me weak in the knees. Only a few things I didn't really care for, but overall, I like the car A LOT. Definately my favorite look.
http://bradbarnett.net/mustangs/shows/sema04/cdc.htm
As for the V6 Vs GT... The GT Looks MUCH beefier. I personally don't care for the GT badges that are on the car. If I had my choice, I would remove them and find a way to either go with running horses, or for the fenders, I would put on the 65 GT badges:
Other than that and the fact that the grill (while I love the fogs) just BEGS for chrome, not flat plastic... I think the GT wins on looks. I have a 6, but I'd love the GT if I could afford it!
Probably do that CDC grill in the future to my V6 just to dress her out. Other than that, As folks have said... there isn't much that separates the V6 and GT models. They are both great looking cars. I won't NEED to do anything in order to feel happy with the way the V6 car looks.
Definitely a marked improvement over the past V6 models! This one actually LOOKS worth owning... not just to be a means of transportation!

I love and adore my v6.
I like the pony emblems, and tape stripes..........And also she looks like she's saying- wanna play? Shes a bad girl in good girls clothing......
PLUS I don't need 300 HP because I have no use for it. She is quite quick enough for me- just perfect.

i like the V6 more, although both have problems imo
i love the V6 with the fogless grill, the pony emblem in the back, love the machined wheels with the spinners, the V6 decklid emblem. just wish they had bigger wheels, and something to make that smile into a frown or something
dont like the rims that much on the new GT, either too SUVish or overused. dont really dig the fogs on the grill. gt badge in back :notnice:

05 GT should have came with a scoop to help the un-trained eyes notice the GT

I voted for the GT, obviously. I can't stand the front end of the V6. The car is smiling as if to say....look at me...I am pretty.....but that is it

This is true . . .why replace the Pony emblems when you like them?
EDIT: I read your above post.

I think ford could have done a bit more to differentiate the V6 to the GT.
I personally think a factory ducktail would have added a much different look to the GT, as opposed to the generic wing spoiler.
All in all, I love the GT overall, although the V6 is very clean, and I love the machined wheels with the spinners, (wish they were on the GT)

I like all of the differentiating pieces of the GT better than the V6. These include the front fascia, rear valence, dual exhaust, body-colored rocker panels, GT badging in back and on the sides, and fog lights in the grill. The V6 is still a great looking vehicle, but I prefer the aesthetic styling of the GT better. So my vote was for the GT.
There are a few things I would have liked to have seen changed or added to make a perfect looking GT for me. These include body-colored mirrors, a hidden antenna, and having the 18” tire and wheel package offered at the car's introduction (the current tires are too wimpy looking IMO). These minor changes and additions can be made in the future though.

Glad to see you love your 6 so much April. Definately a great car. I'd love to have the GT, but I have to agree - I don't really need it all. That suits me just fine anyways, because I can't afford it. I'm lucky to have the V6!
As for my car, the only things I would change on it if I had the chance would be the grille treatment, like I said, or that valance. It doesn't bother me though. The car still looks awesome. With the IUP and CAP, there is no interior differentiation between the V6 and the GT cars, so I'm just as comfy as a GT owner.
The only thing I notice while driving the car is the lack of V8 sound, but to be quite honest, the tone of the V6 engine is really REALLY pleasing to me. It has a great pull (wonderful torque off the line), and as you wind it up, it really lets out a nice loud rumbling sporty note that has excellent bass to it. It's not an 8, but it still is VERY pleasing - MUCH more so than the last Gen.
All and all, the V6 is a wonderful car. Only a few nice touches that the GT has that would be nice. That differentiation is important though, isn't it?

I too like the V6 grille much more than the GT. It looks cleaner. Like the '70 front end. As for this "smile" look your talking about...I don't see that...My '67 has more of a smile to it. I just like the clean look of the V6. Sharper and classier. :worship:
