Been off the forum for a minute, time to come back... New pics of my '05 GT.

Hey everyone, how's it goin? Gonna get more involved here at TMS. Anyways, my 05 has been through a lot lately. Main thing was getting nailed pretty good by a Volvo about a month ago. Got rear ended good. Pics:

It was a pretty good hit. Had my wife with me and good thing we are both okay. All I can say is man... These cars hold up good. Look what happened to the Volvo:

Got it reapired at a good friends shop and also got some of the other f'ups (dings and scratches) it had on it fixed. Also got a GT500-GT/CS rear bumper and got my front GT/CS front bumper re-conditioned. Here are some pics of when it came home:

Left the emblems off of the fenders cuz I had an idea and hadn't had time to stripe the rear bumper. Well I wanted to do something different with an old skool twist on the emblems and I think I came up with somethin good... Pics:

Rear bumper striped:

Well, I'm really happy with the looks of my car now. Maybe now it can actually place at a car show...lol Let me know what you think!!! Hopefully I run into some of you SoCal dudes at a show... Take care fellas...

I like your car alot and it motivated me to buy the GT/CS front fascia.

I want to know why you opted to leave the entire bottom portion of the rear fascia black instead on painting the sides MG like the front? It's your car and your decision but I think I would have carried the MG around the bottom sides of the rear fascia. JMO~

Communication error with the body shop...lol It's gonna go back in a couple weeks. I wanted the GT/CS scheme not the GT500 scheme... Either way, I'm hella happy with it. I'm glad my ideas motivated someonw to do the same.

Sorry that you got hit, but the end result is really sweet! I like the CS rear and have been thinking about doing the same. Also, the old school GT tags look great. Nice touch!!

Wow your car looks sweet after the repair. Sometimes it works out in the end and now your car is show car worthy. I am sure it was before the fact too. Where did you get your rims from? Just looks nice.

I am running the Falken Azenis 295/40 18. I got them on a crazy deal from Vulcan tires. They are the older models and I got the chance to buy a pair for half the price of one!!! I was previously running the Supercars all the way around with 285/40 18 out back, they ran thin so I changed them.

Does having the 295/40/18 and 255/45/18 screw anything up? Traction control or speedo?

I also have the F1 Supercars as take offs from a GT500.

No, they do not have any ill effects on the traction control, speedo is a non issue if you can modify the tire revs parameter in your tune. If you don't have a tune, I'd say it tosses it off 3-4 MPH. Nothing drastic.
